Dillali is digitalizing paper-based financial records with their income and expense management platform for small and growing businesses in Africa. Dillali’s mission is to provide their finance management tool for 500 000 micro-small businesses across the African continent within the next 5 years. The company progressed significantly in the Mastercard Lighthouse MASSIV program by connecting with investors, expert advisors and alumni startups. One key result came from the meet-the-company video for Dillai, which was produced in the program. This led to investors reaching out and current funding dialogues due to the exposure on Mastercard Lighthouse’s social media channel. Dillali got its first paying users during the program, and with the help of advisors from VNTRS they figured out their new business model that they will roll out. As a result of the work in the program, Dillali initiated potential partnerships with alumni like SPENN and Baia, got introduced to organizations Red Cross and Standard Chartered Bank, and they met investment houses in Africa. One of Dillali’s goals was to improve its impact framework, which will significantly improve the company’s short- and long-term plans. Klimate is building the #1 infrastructure platform for scaling the carbon removal industry by bridging the gap between demand and supply. They are delivering robust, future-proof climate impact strategies that empower responsible companies to achieve Net Zero and accelerate Carbon Removal technologies. Klimate has the goal to scale their efforts and remove millions of tonnes of CO2, and during the program they got one step closer to achieving this. Over the three months, they initiated partnership dialogues with amongst others Mastercard and Swedbank. They also created pilot projects on the digital side, further refined their legal and financial capabilities, and improved data collection and analysis frameworks. With the help of UNDP, they refined their impact measurement and explored ways to more precisely demonstrate the actual impact enabled by their customers’ carbon removal purchases. EcoTree rewards businesses and individuals with a simple, ground-breaking concept of tree ownership that builds biodiversity and supports sustainable forestry in Europe. With EcoTree’s 60.000 individual clients and more than 1500 corporate clients, they have raised awareness and given action opportunities to approximately half a million people. During the program, they explored how to assess biodiversity based on the UNDP framework for impact measurement and management. They got connected to Swedbank, Danske Bank and Doconomy to discuss potential partnerships around their white-labelled app to be integrated into online banking or carbon-tracking apps. VNTRS helped them navigate their UX design to refine their solution. The introductions will help in EcoTree’s mission to democratize supporting & investing in nature, and to create daily opportunities to be rewarded for environmental-friendly consumption. Ignitia is a weather forecasting platform for tropical areas. This helps farmers to Ignitia is a weather forecasting company, providing highly accurate weather forecasts and agricultural advisory to small scale farmers in tropical climates. This helps them make better decisions for their farms, improve their farming practices and mitigate climate change-induced risk. With the ambition to find new partners, leads, and collaborations, Ignitia ended up with 11 introductions to potential partners and investors with the help of the MASSIV Advisory Board. VNTRS supported Ignitia on their growth strategy for Brazil, and Skarp gave the company guidance on their channel approach in Africa. They also refined their impact statement with support from UNDP. Today, they are reaching 2 million farmers with their solution and by 2025 they have the impact potential to reach 20 million. During the program, Ignitia was introduced to various MASSIV alumni companies like Earthbanc, Hiveonline, Investure, and Desert Control. Wanda is paving the way for circular logistics by providing easy access to space and logistics by offering maintenance, repair, sharing, and services that help extend the lifespan of products. Wanda has taken several steps towards their mission during the program, to enable the reduction of the material footprint from 1 million consumption transactions, annually impacting more than 2 million people in Europe. They successfully launched a product in Norway, got tractional partners on the platform, and have initiated several new partnerships within retail. They signed a partnership with a large marketplace provider in the Nordics, and were introduced to the Swedbank payment team, Nordea financing and Nets (Nordic Payment Provider). In addition, they signed various service partners such as XXL in Sweden and are currently exploring collaboration opportunities with MASSIV alumni Beleco.
