WHAT COMPANIES ACHIEVED IN THE MASSIV 2022 SPRING PROGRAM
We completed the fifth successful edition of Mastercard Lighthouse’s impact tech partnership program MASSIV, with impressive results. With guidance from our fantastic Advisory Board and 10 Experts, the spring edition’s participants reached new milestones that are worth highlighting and celebrate.
As a certified B corporation, TotalCtrl was ahead of the impact measurement elements in the program. The company aims to prevent 408,000 kg food waste by 2025. In addition, they calculated the amount of money their customers can save using their solution, which is 4 million euros by 2025. During the program they got introductions to tech and co-selling partners as well as potential customers with whom they have ongoing discussions, amongst them are Lighthouse alumni companies. They managed to make enormous progress in their investment round with the help of Mastercard experts and the investor network.
As an outcome of the program Wakandi got introduced to Mastercard Foundry and the Lab for Financial Inclusion and they signed an NDA with Mastercard in Africa. They are currently looking for a board member and there are ongoing discussions with Advisory Board members regarding that. The company got introduced to several investors during MASSIV and they are planning two funding rounds in 2022. The UNDP impact measurement toolkit helped them to narrow down their focus areas regarding impact, and they just started measuring the number of people impacted. Their goal is to reach 25 million people by the end of 2025, which is also one of the main reasons for Wakandi winning the Lighthouse MASSIV Impact Potential Award.
